No American automobile personified the 1950’s automotive “Golden Era” like the 1957 Cadillac Convertible. Its sheer size and distinguishing features, including futuristic tail fins and large front grille, made it appear more like one of the Mercury Spaceships that were hurdling brave Americans into orbit at the time. The 1957 Cadillac Convertible was at the forefront of luxury and status; automatic head lamp dimmers, in dash air conditioning, power seats and windows were but a few of GM’s latest technical achievements displayed on this flagship car. Just like fellow cultural icons Elvis Pressley and Marilyn Monroe, the 1957 Cadillac Convertible still resonates today with automobile enthusiasts around the world.
This 1957 Cadillac 62 Series Convertible has received a nut-bolt restoration by Francis Collision Centre of Fresno California, and has won several awards including a first place Concourse De Elegance showing.
