On one Saturday afternoon every April, Fresno’s eclectic “Tower” area transforms into one of the largest and most impressive classic car shows in the central valley. Jeff and his father Ben have attended and entered cars at the Tower Classic for many years and won several times with their restored beauties. This year, Jeff and his group of friends and family brought out the family favorite, a 1957 Cadillac Convertible to show. This Cadillac never fails to impress the masses and this day was no exception.
After the passing of Ben in 2009, Jeff felt he had to honor the memory of his father and hero, for it was Ben that introduced Jeff to the love of cars and racing. The “Ben Francis Memorial Award” was created and this year Jeff and his family chose John & Judi Peterson of Fresno to receive the award with their beautiful 1958 Chevy Impala.
To cap off a great day, Jeff received the “Merchants Award” for his 1957 Cadillac Convertible. “This car is very special to me and my family”, remarked Jeff, “It’s not even about the awards anymore, I just love to see the people admire and appreciate this car as much as we do”.
